This Year's Must've Immunity Boosters!

It's had to believe that we are approaching the last two months of the year. 2020 has brought so many mixed emotions. There have been extreme highs and crazy lows.

Regardless of how 2020 has been and is for you, we all can agree that putting our immunity first is key.

What is a virus?

A virus is defined as genetic material contained within an organic particle that invades living cells and uses their host's metabolic processes to produce a new generation of viral particles. There are millions of viruses floating through the air at any given moment.

Once you come in contact with a virus it will attach itself into your membranes and from there is pushed down into your cells. Then after the virus copies itself and creates new millions of itself in your body. While the virus is trying to spread itself throughout your body, your immune system fights it off. Think of your immune system as a your own personal army, just waiting to defend your body against invaders.

Without a strong immune system your body doesn't stand a chance against any virus.

We often hear the saying " he/she was a healthy person and died from this or that".

But the truth is if someone has a elevated immune system, their body can better defend itself against harmful viral attacks. A virus cannot thrive or survive in a healthy environment.

A person can still catch a virus with a secure immune system, but they may experience minimal symptoms for a short period of time.

  1. Get Some Sun- Sun is a natural source of Vitamin D. Don't be afraid to get out and inhale fresh air.

  2. Exercise- Get moving. Try long walks or cardio sessions.

  4. Get Well, Eat to Live! Remember some foods hold no value to your body at all. While you may feel satisfied after a meal, often the food hasn't provided you any vitamins or minerals. Consider eating fresh vegetables ( not canned or frozen), fresh fruit, farmed raised local lean meats, baked foods, boiled foods. Avoid fried foods, processed, sweets, pork and diary products as they create mucus within the body.

  5. Hydrate, Hydrate and then Hydrate some more! Our body is composed mostly of water, don't forget to drink half of your body weight in ounces daily.

  6. Sleep- try to get 6-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep each night.

  7. Limit alcohol consumption. The same goes for smoking.

  8. Hygiene is essential. While washing our hands is nice and great to do.. we have to also wash our ass daily. And in some cases twice a day or more. The same goes for your home. Remember to wash your lien once a week and keep your space clean.

  9. Stay positive! All things begin in the mind, we hold the power to change our reality. We become what we believe. Speak life and health over yourself and your love ones.

  10. Last but not least... increase your vitamin and mineral intake daily!
